Role Summary

The Sales Support Representative (SSR) is the primary point of contact for the customer and collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments to respond to customer inquiries. The SSR works with the Sales leadership team to drive key initiatives and help Flowserve achieve goals, maximize sales bookings, and grow the opportunity pipeline. The role uses data to provide decision support, forecast sales quota accuracy, and deliver sales productivity reporting and efficiency analysis.

Responsibilities

- Be customer focused with a results-driven mindset.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across functional/business platforms.
- Promote a positive, professional atmosphere and challenge the status quo to improve the customer experience.
- Support sales or customer service in an engineered manufacturing environment with experience administering commercial and/or government contracts.
- Influence through collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship building.
- Lead coordination on applicable aftermarket quotes with stakeholders.
- Review customer specifications and documents against Flowserve technical and commercial requirements.
- Drive daily tactical customer proposals and support strategic offerings and identified win-back opportunities.
- Partner with Site Hubs to drive quotation performance and leverage quoting tools for prioritization and faster cycles.
- Generate high-quality, on-time, value-priced proposals to facilitate order fulfilment.
- Manage the proposal through the bid cycle, maintain workload management tools, and monitor hit-rate optimization.
- Understand pump applications and parts/programs to drive solutions for end users.
- Identify actions with sales leadership to improve forecast accuracy and address performance gaps.
- Maintain accurate records of sales training, organization charts, and other critical information for sales engagement.
- Support continuous improvement projects and assist with weekly sales reports and forecast processes.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, independence, and teamwork with a global mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Maintain excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

- Industry experience related to pumps and rotating equipment.
- Experience with customer relationship management in the power generation and utility industries.
- Experience with Salesforce (CRM).
- Experience in pricing, contract review, and ERP administration.
- BS or BA degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
