This includes functions for threat monitoring, detection, incident management, and response, supported by capabilities in cyber intelligence, threat analysis, and client engagement. The mission is under the oversight of the group ciso, emphasizing the importance of protecting hsbc’s assets and reputation.main activities:coordinate actions during cybersecurity incidents across multiple business units.provide timely updates to stakeholders during incidents.manage post-incident reviews and implement improvements.collaborate with regional cybersecurity leads and risk officers for incident remediation.maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices to advise hsbc functions.develop and maintain incident response processes and procedures.support technical enhancements of security platforms.advance incident management capabilities, including automation.promote a culture of continuous improvement and cybersecurity awareness.produce management reports and analysis related to cybersecurity incidents.enhance personal expertise in incident management.skills & qualifications:understanding of business needs and commitment to high-quality service.strong decision-making and analytical skills.excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.team-oriented with stakeholder management experience.high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and regulations (e.g., iso27001, pci dss, nist).experience with incident response tools and technologies.knowledge of network protocols and enterprise infrastructure.experience with cloud platforms like aws, azure, google cloud.certifications & education:relevant certifications such as gsec, gcih, cissp preferred.degree in information security, cybersecurity, computer science, or equivalent experience.
