Our fast-growing mexico office consists of 12 dynamic professionals supporting clients in automotive, lifestyle, and other industries through training, hospitality, marketing activations, and pr campaigns. Locally agile yet backed by a global network, the team benefits from extensive expertise and shared resources.

position overview we are searching for an inspiring managing director to lead our mexico office, accelerate business growth, and deepen relationships with key clients and partners. This role offers the chance to shape the direction of a thriving agency with an established foundation and impressive portfolio.


key responsibilities

1. leadership & strategy: provide overall leadership and direction for the mexico office.
2. leadership & strategy: develop strategic plans to expand our agency's reach and client base.
3. leadership & strategy: serve as the main point of contact between the local team and the ceo.
4. leadership & strategy: proactively address operational, compliance, and reputational risks in mexico.
5. sales & client engagement: lead sales efforts, client relationship management, and business development activities.
6. sales & client engagement: build and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.
7. sales & client engagement: support client sales force training and deliver impactful learning experiences.
8. sales & client engagement: identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within client accounts.
9. sales & client engagement: represent the agency at meetings, events, and industry programs.
10. operations & administration: manage daily office operations, ensuring department efficiency.
11. operations & administration: oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
12. operations & administration: interpret and execute business contracts accurately.
13. operations & administration: ensure effective office functioning, including equipment, supplies, and safety.
14. operations & administration: oversee lease, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
15. hospitality & event management: apply hospitality expertise to create outstanding client experiences.
16. hospitality & event management: oversee live event planning and execution to deliver premium service standards.
17. hospitality & event management: collaborate with internal and external teams for smooth event delivery.
* human resources & compliance: ensure compliance with mexican labor laws and hr best practices.
* human resources & compliance: oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and staff management.
* human resources & compliance: guide employee relations, training, and development.
* human resources & compliance: foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.


qualifications

* bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality management, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 10+ years of progressive leadership in marketing, hospitality, live events, or related sectors.
* proven experience training and developing sales teams to meet goals.
* strong skills in administration and operational management.
* expertise in hospitality operations, event execution, and client-facing services.
* knowledge of mexican labor laws and hr practices.
* experience interpreting and executing business contracts.
* capable of managing multiple workstreams and delegating responsibilities.
* strategic thinker with creative problem-solving abilities.
* proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, and project management tools.
* fluent in spanish and english, both written and spoken.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills with client-facing experience.
* willingness to travel internationally as required.


compensation & benefits

* competitive salary: 130,000–150,000 mxn gross monthly, doe.
* full-time, in-office role.
* benefits compliant with mexican labor laws: social security, vacation days, vacation bonus, year-end bonus, housing support via infonavit.
* additional benefits: private medical insurance through sofia.
