Job summary:
we are seeking a junior mechanical designer with 3+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical drafting and design. The candidate will support our engineering team by producing high-quality construction documents for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across a variety of projects, including industrial facilities, municipal buildings, educational institutions, and commercial developments.
responsibilities:
* convert sketches and markups into detailed autocad/revit/bim drawings.
* read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
* prepare accurate, detailed, and to-scale drawings.
* collaborate with engineers and other designers on multidisciplinary projects.
* maintain documentation and project records.
* work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* perform other duties as assigned.
qualifications:
* minimum 3 years of relevant design/drafting experience.
* proficiency in autocad, revit, and bim.
* ability to create plans from markups and base files.
* knowledge of hvac, plumbing, and electrical systems.
* familiarity with microsoft office suite (excel, word) and adobe acrobat.
* strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
