alstom’s "servicio posventa" team for the tren maya project is dedicated to providing efficient and high-quality maintenance for railway systems supplied by alstom and its partners.
the rolling stock maintenance technician is involved in both preventive activities (keeping the equipment in perfect working condition) and corrective activities (solving faults).
the technician reports to the workshop supervisor or an intermediate management figure (supervisor, team leader) and is responsible for executing maintenance operations following defined processes, ensuring compliance with availability, reliability, and quality standards.
the mr maintenance technician has general technical knowledge acquired through foundational training in electromechanics, mechatronics, or related fields.
all activities are performed in strict adherence to safety norms and regulations, both legal and alstom’s internal safety rules, to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
main activities
* perform corrective and preventive maintenance operations on railway vehicles authorized by alstom, involving tasks in electronics, instrumentation, assembly, electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial refrigeration, aligned with the required profile. The operator must resolve all job requirements responsibly and with quality.
* read, record, and control maintenance processes under detailed instructions. Report and input maintenance results via paper documents or electronic devices (tablet, computer) to keep the database updated. Tasks include data entry and ensuring data quality (completeness, accuracy, precision).
* execute maintenance with quality, conducting self-inspections as instructed.
* measure and record process data, including quantitative (distances, temperatures, humidities, cycle durations) and qualitative (wears, defects, anomalies) information, using data templates.
* perform medium corrective repairs on railway material, seeking engineer support on-site or via communication channels as needed.
position requirements
basic education
higher or technical secondary education, preferably in electromechanics or mechatronics.
additional skills
knowledge and practice with electronic or electrical low/medium/high tension tools and instrumentation (up to 25kv). Mechanical measurement tools (torque wrenches, calipers, gauges, vibration meters), electrical tools (multimeter, oscilloscope), pneumatic tools (manometers), and communication system testing devices (network analyzers).
basic computer skills (windows, office).

mandatory: spanish; desirable: english.
professional experience
experience in industrial maintenance, especially in railway maintenance, working with medium/high voltage and mechanical systems, as well as industrial refrigeration. Leadership experience (team leader, foreman, supervisor) is a plus for future growth.
