Key responsibilities
1. develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services within the assigned category in alignment with category management objectives.
2. negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable commercial terms.
3. partner with global sites to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with the global strategy.
4. lead the creation, negotiation, and management of supplier contracts and contract management.
5. monitor and assess supplier performance against kpis and quality standards.
6. maintain supplier documentation (ndas, framework agreements, code of conduct, etc.).
7. creating and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues.
8. ensure made-to-order items are produced and delivered as per specifications and timelines.
9. follow up on non-conformities in collaboration with the quality department.
10. implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
11. work closely with ops, product management, r&d, and quality to align procurement strategies with product and quality goals.
