we are currently seeking a testing engineering advisor to join our team in gdl, jalisco (mx-jal), mexico (mx).
we are seeking an experienced and proactive qa lead to drive quality assurance practices across our projects. This role is responsible for defining test strategies, leading qa efforts, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams. Experience in the healthcare industry is essential to ensure compliance, data integrity, and regulatory alignment.
key responsibilities
* lead and mentor the qa team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
* define, implement, and maintain qa strategies, processes, and best practices.
* oversee test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
* ensure test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
* collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are clear, especially for healthcare‑related workflows.
* drive automation strategy and increase test automation coverage where applicable.
* monitor and report on quality metrics, defects, risks, and overall test progress.
* proactively identify risks and quality issues, particularly related to compliance and data security, and elevate when needed.
* ensure timely communication of testing status, blockers, and dependencies.
* support release planning and go/no‑go decisions based on quality metrics.
* ensure adherence to healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., hipaa or equivalent, depending on region).
required qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of experience in software testing/quality assurance.
* proven experience leading qa teams in complex environments.
* experience working in the healthcare domain (e.g., payer, provider, ehr systems, health platforms).
* strong understanding of qa methodologies, testing types, and tools.
* experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., azure devops, jira, testrail).
* hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (selenium, cypress, or similar).
* familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance (hipaa, hl7, fhir is a plus).
* strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
