Senior Business Analyst (with SharePoint or HRIS experience)

Job Overview
The Senior Business Analyst will collect, organize, and translate business requirements into solution designs and technical specifications. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover improvement opportunities, and implement solutions.
- Analyze system specifications and use diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes.
- Lead analysis and business requirements gathering to develop detailed functional requirements and define project scope.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications ensuring clarity and feasibility.
- Work with technical teams to design and implement IT solutions that address business needs.
- Provide project management and business process analysis expertise while supporting stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of solutions to align with business requirements and quality standards.
- Review test plans for regression and system execution.
- Create UAT test plans when required.
- Manage change communication and coordinate end‑user training for system implementations.
- Assist with portfolio activities, template creation, process improvement and framework for the Business Analyst team.
- Provide guidance and support to junior business analysts.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance business analysis effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Experience in Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, process modeling, and technical specification writing.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Experience working with cross‑functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence at all levels and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce documentation, guidance, and instruction to users.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, highly self‑motivated, able to work independently.
- Ability to proactively plan, organize, and deliver with limited oversight, prioritise, and adapt to changing situations.
- Experience with HRIS, CLM, SharePoint, Salesforce, Veeva Vault, CRM, Tableau, and Smartsheet is highly desirable.
