Responsibilities lead the delivery of audits, including major and/or highly complex engagements, providing internal customers and stakeholders with critical assessments of hsbc's governance, risk and internal control frameworks. Ensure audit assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner with due respect to the standards established by global internal audit (gia), industry best practices, and the relevant risk and regulatory environment. Provide specialist professional advice on audit findings and recommendations, ensuring they are fully understood and properly implemented by management. Continuous tests of control using advanced analytics. Drive discussion and collaborate with gia teams to identify areas where technology can add value, and use existing data to improve audit tests and knowledge. Adopt an agile, iterative, adaptive approach during the development and delivery of audit technology solutions to meet timely needs and maximize value. Evaluate compliance with hsbc information security standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Develop a good understanding of the business, risks, controls, and the regulatory framework within the financial services industry and how these may impact an audit. Understand the impact of audit findings and recommendations for process improvements on current and future business models and operating environments. Ensure that audit work reflects changing scope, nature, and risk profile of the business to optimize value-added. Ensure that the scope, approach, and methodology of each audit reflect hsbc’s focus on customers and the quality of the operating environment necessary to support that focus. Clearly communicate issues and associated risks, identifying root causes and potential strategic implications. Develop appropriate business or compliance framework reviews to monitor the proper implementation of regulations and global standards. Qualifications bachelor’s degree in systems, computing, and/or accounting, business administration. Minimum of five years’ experience in the financial services sector, consultancy and external or internal audit, mainly in it security audit projects and regulatory compliance audits. Experience in data analytics: advanced excel, alteryx, sas, python programming, statistics for data analysis. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. Financial products knowledge (desirable). Good understanding of local regulatory environments (cnbv, banxico, etc.). Qualifications in risk, business, or related field or equivalent experience; professional certifications (acams, cia, aml cnbv, amib and/or other relevant certifications) desirable. Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills; ability to manage competing priorities and complex challenges. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; proactive. Ability to apply qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze challenging scenarios. Produce smart, simple, and pragmatic solutions. Advanced english (c1).
