job summary:
the senior human resources manager will play a critical role in developing and executing hr strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business goals. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, hr compliance, training and development, and hr policy development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of hr best practices, and a proven ability to build and maintain positive employee relations.
key responsibilities:
* strategic hr leadership:
* partner with senior leadership to understand business objectives and translate them into effective hr strategies and action plans.
* contribute to the development and implementation of hr policies, programs, and procedures that support a high-performance culture.
* identify and address hr-related challenges and opportunities within the organization.
* stay current with hr trends, best practices, and employment law to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
* talent acquisition & management:
* oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and job description development, offer management, and onboarding.
* lead employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice.
* develop and manage robust performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
* support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
* employee relations & engagement:
* provide guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
* conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions.
* develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
* foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
* administer and manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
* participate in salary surveys and market research to ensure competitive pay structures.
* educate employees on benefits offerings and assist with related inquiries.
* hr compliance & policy:
* ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
* develop, update, and interpret hr policies and procedures, ensuring they are consistently applied.
* maintain accurate and up-to-date hr records and systems.
* prepare and submit required hr reports.
* training & development:
* identify training needs and develop or source relevant training programs for employees and managers.
* facilitate training sessions on various hr topics (e.g., performance management, diversity & inclusion, leadership development).
* support career development initiatives for employees.
* hr operations & administration:
* manage hris (human resources information system) and other hr technologies to optimize hr processes.
* oversee hr data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.
* manage and mentor junior hr staff if applicable.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* 8 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a senior hr role.
* proven experience in all aspects of hr, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and hr compliance.
* in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations mexican labor law (ley federal del trabajo)
* strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
* excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
* ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* proficiency in hris and g-suite (documents, sheets, slides).
