As an indirect buyer, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations by ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of essential goods and services, directly impacting our operational efficiency and bottom line.
key roles & responsibilities
* supporting the development and swift implementation of category strategies.
* deploying actions within categories and delivering savings targets where appropriate.
* providing analysis on costs and reviewing cost reduction activities.
* working cross-functionally to identify suppliers within the scope of category requirements.
* monitoring market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers.
* aligning the scope of products and services between suppliers and stakeholders.
* negotiating contracts, reviewing and analyzing contractual drafts, and managing contracts.
* conducting supplier assessment and onboarding.
* maintaining strong supplier relationships and effective communication.
* supporting the collection of supplier, market, and category information.
* tracking and documenting risk and issue management for the category.
* supporting implementation of risk mitigation, cost reduction, and inventory management plans.
* engaging with internal customers for effective forecasting to identify future procurement needs, including training requirements for different skill teams.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree (business, engineering [preferred], logistics, supply chain).
* languages: spanish & english (proficient).
* excellent communication skills.
* ability to manage complexity (high number of suppliers and components).
* high resilience and tolerance to frustration.
* 3-5 years of experience in procurement area (indirect purchasing desirable-forming and molding machines, plastic injection molding machines)
competencies needed
* advanced written and verbal communication skills.
* understanding of applied practices, concepts, and processes in several procurement fields (e.g., category management, contract negotiation, policies and procedures, project management).
* experience managing strategic sourcing projects.
* advanced analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
* strategic vision across multiple skill teams to make effective recommendations.
* advanced planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
* ability to manage large, moderately complex, medium to high-impact projects.
* ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships.
* ability to influence key stakeholders.
other considerations
* experience in t&cs / legal elements of business to help quickly assess ford risk.
* maturity to interface with different cross-functional teams.
* preferred experience with ariba p2p and s2c.
* basic knowledge in international commerce and its applications.
