Procurement specialistwe are seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to join our team. As a procurement specialist, you will be responsible for managing commodities to meet business objectives using supply chain management principles and practices.key responsibilities:manage the purchasing function with integrity and promote ethical conduct in all relationships with internal and external stakeholders.analyze material availability to meet customer demand and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.implement lean manufacturing supply chain solutions, utilizing tools such as e-commerce, mrp, kanban, min/max, somi, vmi, and third-party warehousing.utilize business systems such as oracle, legacy, sap, etc. to balance demand and supply of assigned items.collaborate with customers to negotiate and resolve scheduling conflicts, inventory levels, material shortages, delivery requirements, cost improvements, quality improvements, and other material issues.source new materials and collaborate with global sourcing.monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to improve lead-time, purchase price, quality, transportation costs, and on-time delivery.maintain system data elements and handle responsibility for all facets of inventory control.resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate interplant shipments between plants.requirements:bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.knowledge of mrp/erp systems.ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings.minimum 3 years of experience in materials planning, purchasing, or procurement.experience with capacity planning and purchasing negotiation preferred.strong computer skills, microsoft office proficiency preferred.certification through apics and/or napm preferred.
