Role overview
add material using the inert gas arc welding technique (tig) in accordance with techniques and instructions established. The tig welder is responsible for the tig of parts production based on a work programmed schedule. Welder is also responsible for minor maintenance of the equipment.
duties
* observe the labor practices dictated by the company's code of ethics and internal work regulations.
* follow the work instructions established in the inspection procedures manual, the quality control procedures and the sketches.
* check the traveler and welds in accordance with the procedure and equipment that appear on the sk.
* use safety equipment (welding mask, gloves, sleeves, smock).
* at the end of the operation, move the parts to the next operation.
* apply degrease to all parts before welding.
* clean and replace the filament housing and filament.
* clean the glass windows and mirrors.
* clean the welding chamber to avoid part contamination.
* report any equipment malfunction quickly to the maintenance department.
* report any damage to the chamber door or other issues that could cause radiation leakage to maintenance.
* perform any operation when registered and trained.
* demonstrate qualification with at least one or more of the following tasks: gritblast, clean of parts, twist, shot peen, marking, ring assembly, cut off, or hot form.
* register executed tasks to maintain traceability.
* keep work areas in optimal conditions (5’s).
* perform all activities inherent and/or related to the work, as well as tasks in the category.
* adhere to standardized work activities and actively participate in continuous improvement.

qualifications
* experience: 2 years as a soldador c.
* knowledge: program of induction to chromalloy, basic welding course, applicable sketches to the work cell, updated instructions, certification in tig welding in accordance with mil std 1455.
* certification: at least 75% of total wps.
* designated trainer or documented training hours.
* reach the takt time of the cell and required quality.
* supervisory responsibilities: value stream supervisor.

* basic technical english.
