about the role
an established automotive manufacturing company is looking for a quality systems engineer responsible for ensuring that the quality management system is properly established, implemented, and maintained according to iatf 16949:2016 standards, customer-specific requirements, and corporate guidelines.
this role will play a key part in maintaining compliance with international automotive quality standards and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.
key responsibilities
quality management system
• maintain and ensure compliance of the quality management system according to iatf 16949:2016
• plan and execute internal audits of the quality management system
• ensure follow-up and closure of corrective and preventive actions from internal and external non-conformities or customer complaints
• maintain and update controlled documentation related to the quality system
• coordinate management review meetings and related reporting
audits & certifications
• act as the primary contact with certification bodies (e.g., bureau veritas) for recertification and surveillance audits
• coordinate activities related to customer-specific quality requirements
• support activities related to ccc certification (china compulsory certification) when required
quality support
• provide guidance and support to internal departments regarding quality management system requirements
• support development and updates of quality documentation
• assist with process quality assurance activities in production, when required
requirements
education
bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field
experience
• minimum 2 years of experience in quality systems or quality engineering roles
• experience conducting internal quality system audits
• experience coordinating external certification audits
technical knowledge
• advanced knowledge of iatf 16949:2016
• iso 9001:2015 lead auditor certification
• knowledge of risk analysis methodologies
• strong understanding of process approach methodology
• experience with problem-solving methodologies (8d, 8 steps)
• knowledge of core tools:

ppap
pfmea
control plan
msa
spc
languages
• advanced english (bilingual spanish–english)
