PLC Controls Engineer
We are hiring a PLC Controls Engineer II with proven experience in industrial automation, commissioning, and high-speed material handling systems. This role plays a key part in programming, testing, and supporting PLC and HMI systems—especially in sortation and conveyor automation. A solid background in Studio 5000 and Allen-Bradley PLCs is required. Experience in post and parcel operations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead onsite commissioning of PLC and HMI controls for automated material handling systems
* Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000
* Perform I/O validation, QA/QC testing, and ensure system readiness
* Support BUAT/UAT/FAT testing and post-installation technical assistance
* Provide training and technical support to customers and cross-functional teams
* Maintain accurate documentation and enforce safety and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls, or similar)
* Minimum 4 years of experience in controls engineering for material handling systems
* Studio 5000 and Allen-Bradley PLC programming expertise
* Experience with conveyors, MDRs, sorters, and high-speed sortation systems
* Familiarity with post and parcel operations is a strong advantage

* PLC & HMI: Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff, Wonderware Aveva Edge, FactoryTalk View
* Drives & Interfaces: VFDs, Cognex/SICK scanners, machine vision, SOPAS
* Software Tools: Studio 5000, RSLinx, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Ignition

* Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
* Documentation proficiency and attention to detail
* Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in high-pressure environments
