*about the role*:
you will be working remotely alongside team members located in the us, mexico, and eastern europe.
you will use your automation experience to coach and mentor the team in automation, take part in automation framework improvements, expending our automation test coverage, and decipher what should and should not be automated.
*what you'll do as a sr qa automation engineer*:
- take part in establishing and defining testing strategy using automated qa processes to fit into the secure software development lifecycle, for all major new and changed features
- mentor and/or train junior and new team members with automation tools
- review newly created test cases and existing tests to ensure they are relevant and up to date providing ample testing coverage for key features
- develop front-end automation scripts in python, selenium, appium.
- recommend and implement improvements to our automation tools keeping abreast of the latest tools and standards across all platforms
- devise and implement test strategies that adequately assess all software aspects investigating and recreating reported defects
- align with remote resources and engineering team as necessary
- ability to adjust to competing priorities allocating your time as necessary to get things done
*what we're looking for*:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation or development of web and mobile apps
- hands on coding experience, ideally in python
- proven record of building complex automation solutions using appium, selenium for web based platforms as well as mobile (android and ios)
- comfortable working in a dynamic, constantly changing atmosphere; able to prioritize work appropriately across changing contexts
- strong comprehension of testing methodologies and techniques
- good english (written and verbal)
