Responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling material requirements to support production plans and customer demand, ensuring optimal inventory levels and on‑time delivery. Additionally, executes purchasing activities to secure timely supply of materials through effective supplier coordination and procurement processes.
responsibilities
* a. plan and manage material requirements based on mrp, production schedules, and customer demand.
* b. develop and maintain production‑related material plans to ensure continuity of supply.
* c. monitor and control inventory levels (doh, shortages, excess) aligned with plant and p&a goals.
* d. analyze forecasts, demand variability, and production plans to adjust material requirements.
* e. identify and communicate material risks, shortages, and potential impacts to production.
* f. coordinate with master scheduler and cross‑functional teams to support schedule adherence.
* g. execute mrp action messages (expedite, defer, cancel) to align supply with demand.
* h. generate and manage purchase orders to support planned material requirements.
* i. follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve supply issues.
* j. support supplier communication regarding schedules, changes, and constraints.
* k. participate in cost control initiatives and support negotiation processes as required.
* l. monitor supplier performance (delivery, responsiveness, quality).
* m. maintain accurate system data (mrp/erp) related to planning and purchasing.
* n. contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in materials planning and procurement processes.
qualifications
* professional degree in related area.
* 2 to 3 years in the purchasing area and materials planning.
* english level: advanced (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations and/or participation in negotiation processes).
* microsoft office (excel advanced).
* strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* negotiation skills, communication, analytical ability.
* computer skills advanced (use of office: word, excel, powerpoint, etc.) or application programs.
