Over time, it has transformed into a growing transportation provider. We are seeking a highly skilled claims estimator with specialized expertise in semi-tractor and trailer appraisals. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to manage claims independently and efficiently.
schedule: monday to saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
responsibilities
* conduct detailed appraisals of commercial vehicles, including semi-tractors and trailers.
* verify all unit options to ensure accurate valuation.
* estimate repair costs using industry-standard software (ccc one, audatex, mitchell, or adjustrite).
* document vehicle damage through high-quality photography.
* negotiate and finalize claims in alignment with insurance policies and procedures.
* manage multiple claims simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
* travel frequently to inspect vehicles and meet with stakeholders.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or related field (preferred).
* minimum 3 years of experience managing transportation or heavy equipment claims.
* strong knowledge of commercial vehicle construction, repair processes, and parts, as well as inland marine claims (semi-truck and trailer).
* proficiency in heavy equipment estimating software and solid understanding of insurance policies, claims workflows, and accident protocols.
* advanced math for cost calculations, intermediate to advanced english (suitable for international negotiations), and strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
* proactive, hands-on, and capable of working under pressure in dynamic environments.
