our jobs aren’t just about giving guests a clean room and a freshly made bed. Instead, we aim to build an experience that is memorable and unique. Our guest environment experts are skilled in a wide range of housekeeping functions with responsibility for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the whole hotel. They are empowered to move about their space and do what needs to be done, whether delivering guest requests, stocking carts, cleaning rooms and public spaces, or other related tasks. They ensure the hotel spaces help create a great guest experience.
responsibilities
* respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments; identify and report preventative or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms; post caution signs; contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
* deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested; remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near housekeeper carts.
* clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
* follow all company and safety policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
* ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
* welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
* move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance; push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over various surfaces.
* move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
qualifications
* preferred: education – no high school diploma or ged required.
* related work experience – no related work experience required.
* supervisory experience – not required.
* license or certification – none.
