job purpose
lead and manage end‑to‑end warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe execution of inbound, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory control processes, while meeting customer service levels, operational stability, and business financial objectives.
key responsibilities
* operational management – ensure effective execution of warehouse processes, guarantee operational stability and service continuity, achieve agreed service levels and contractual commitments, implement operational control practices to reduce errors and losses.
* customer relationship & negotiation – serve as primary point of contact with customers for operational, financial, and performance matters; lead negotiations for operational changes, scope adjustments, and improvement plans; translate customer requirements into feasible operational solutions.
* financial management – manage the operation’s p&l, ensure budget adherence, control costs, identify opportunities for cost optimisation, and support strategic decision‑making with financial impact analysis.
* people leadership – lead a large operational workforce (approximately 200 indirect personnel) through first‑ and second‑line leaders, build a high‑performance culture, develop talent, succession plans and leadership capabilities, and drive effective communication and engagement.
* continuous improvement, innovation & digitalisation – lead the continuous improvement agenda, drive digitalisation, automation and technology‑enabled solutions to enhance efficiency, visibility, and operational control, and identify improvement opportunities across processes and operational kpis.
* health, safety & asset protection – ensure compliance with hse standards and asset protection requirements, guarantee safe operations, and promote a strong safety culture and risk prevention mindset.
qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a 3pl or multinational environment.
* proven operations management or leadership experience.
* strong background in managing receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory processes.
* experience in customer negotiation and financial management.
* operational and financial kpis, p&l management, and cost control expertise.
* continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and digital transformation experience.
* knowledge of health & safety and asset protection standards.
* strong leadership of large, multi‑layered teams and a decision‑making, results‑oriented mindset.
* customer management and negotiation skills; strategic thinking with operational execution.
* effective communication and change management capabilities.
* english proficiency: conversational or advanced.
