position summary:
the qk technician is responsible for managing and tracking the quick kaizen ideas generated by employees. Help operators to represent their ideas using magnets, cardboard, drawings etc. Also provide them benefit/cost ratio to all ideas. Motivate employees to reach annual qk target.
Essential functions:
- data entry of ideas on the qk data base.
- get benefit/cost ratio to all qk ideas
- participate in gemba walks and promote use of ergostick to create and follow up ideas generated during the gemba
- qk scoring
- send daily reports to supervisors and managers regarding their qk teams actual vs target
- monitor individual qk target
- use of cardboard, magnetic layout, drawings for ideas representation
- schedule meetings, running reports, updating qk racing boards, etc
- execute events, campaigns, safaris, meetings or whatever it required to hit plant targets.
- helps on the preparation and coordination of the qk r&r every month, quarter and annual.
- motivate employees to participate on qk.
- executes implementation of ideas.
- identifies barriers to qk success and solicits help when needed.
- provide new hire onboarding and regular kps training.
- support time studies, and kps activities across acuna plants.
- performs kps audits
