YOUR ROLE
In your daily job you will:
1. Supervise and develop regional leaders.
2. Setting goals for the team.
3. Coach the team in the execution of the work plan to meet objectives.
4. Manage commodity budget performance.
5. Understand, support & communicate business objectives to the team.
6. Link information to find global opportunities.
7. Create strategies to meet PBU objectives.
8. Provide support and solutions to any team escalation.
9. Supports the SCM purchasing process as required.
10. Comply with policies and procedures.
11. Any other work activity related to your position and/or required by your immediate manager

YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
13. Completed bachelor's degree
14. +10 years proven work experience as a Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Senior Buyer, or similar roles or similar role
15. Advanced English
16. Valid U.S. visa required for business travel
17. Experience in automotive industry
18. Proven experience managing direct spend categories
19. Strong leadership experience
20. Experience operating in a regional role
21. Proven knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
22. Understanding of supply chain procedures.
23. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
24. Strong Negotiation skills
25. Good communication skills, capable of facilitating and documenting meetings
26. Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms. Experience with SAP is preferred
