responsibilities
* process development and optimization: develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.
* implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.
* design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow.
* equipment and tooling management: specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.
* oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.
* work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards.
* production support: provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.
* conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.
* continuous improvement: lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
* monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
* project management: manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.
* develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* health and safety: ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.
* implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
requirements
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
* proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 automotive supplier.
* strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.
* proficiency in cad software (e.g., autocad, solidworks).
* experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other methodologies.
* excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
* proficiency in microsoft office suite and production management software.
* proficiency in spanish and english languages (written and verbal)
