the production supervisor is responsible for ensuring the achievement of production goals in terms of safety, quality, cost, and delivery. This role oversees daily operations of assigned production lines within the metal mechanics environment, coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment to guarantee compliance with established manufacturing standards, company policies, and customer requirements. Experience in sheet metal processes and molding operations will be considered a strong plus.
responsabilidades
* supervise, coordinate, and monitor production activities across assigned lines to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
* ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards (iso, 6s, etc.).
* manage shift performance, including productivity, scrap reduction, and overall efficiency.
* oversee allocation of personnel, materials, and machinery to ensure optimal workflow and minimal downtime.
* conduct daily shift meetings and communicate production goals, priorities, and improvement opportunities to the team.
* support problem-solving and root cause analysis for operational issues.
* maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and kpi tracking.
* promote continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
* ensure compliance with safety procedures and foster a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
* collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance departments to address production challenges.
* provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance feedback to production staff.
requisitos
* bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
* 3–5 years of experience in production supervision within the metal mechanics industry.
* strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes (sheet metal, welding, painting, machining).
* experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, or similar methodologies.
* familiarity with iso 9000/14000 standards and safety regulations.
* proficient in ms office and erp systems (sap, workday, or similar).
* strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
