we are seeking a senior product specialist – mechanical & pneumatic to provide deep technical expertise and application ownership for a range of mechanical and pneumatic solutions. This role is highly cross‑functional and customer‑facing—supporting oems, automation partners, and system integrators with solution selection, application validation, and technical enablement.
you will act as a key technical reference for the portfolio, translating customer needs into clear application requirements and supporting adoption in real‑world industrial environments. The position requires a solid, hands‑on understanding of industrial automation, including plc programming and industrial communications (modbus and canbus), to align product capabilities with machine‑level integration and troubleshooting needs.

responsibilities
* serve as the technical product reference for assigned mechanical and pneumatic solutions, ensuring strong alignment between product capabilities and customer applications.
* provide application engineering support: sizing/selection, performance validation, reliability considerations, and root‑cause support for field issues (as applicable).
* partner with sales and customers to define requirements, recommend configurations, and support solution standardization across oem platforms and machine designs.
* support customer‑facing technical activities: demos, trials, application reviews, and technical workshops with oems, integrators, and end users.
* develop and maintain technical‑commercial materials: datasheets, selection guides, application notes, competitive comparisons, and training content.
* contribute to voice of customer (voc) by capturing application needs, constraints, and improvement opportunities; translate findings into actionable inputs for product and engineering teams.
* collaborate with engineering on product updates and validation activities (mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial communications where applicable), including requirement clarification and test/acceptance criteria.
* support internal teams with technical guidance: sales enablement, objection handling, positioning, and best‑practice application recommendations.
* assist with portfolio‑level initiatives by providing technical input for product changes, substitutions, compatibility, and lifecycle topics (availability, revisions, transitions).
* promote a solutions mindset beyond catalog selection—application performance, reliability, safety, and total cost of ownership (tco).
* ensure alignment with applicable safety, quality, and compliance requirements (documentation, traceability, and safe practices) relevant to supported applications.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in electromechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar (or equivalent experience).
* advanced/fluent english required, for global collaboration and technical documentation.
* senior experience in technical product/application roles within industrial markets (ideally automation, pneumatics, and/or mechanical systems).
* strong technical foundation in mechanical and pneumatic systems, including:
o actuators, valves, frl and air preparation.
o application‑based sizing/selection, cycle considerations, efficiency/air consumption, and safety considerations.
* demonstrated experience in:
o application support and technical problem‑solving in industrial environments.
o customer‑facing technical communication (requirements definition, solution recommendation, training/enablement).
o cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
* solid functional knowledge of plc programming and industrial automation environments (programming, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and equipment integration).
* proven knowledge of modbus (rtu/tcp) in industrial applications.
* proven knowledge of canbus in industrial/automation environments (practical understanding and application).
* experience working with oems, system integrators, and/or machine builders.
