Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager with a background in technology and more than four years of experience managing technical projects. This role will oversee and facilitate engineering projects and/or scrum teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The Technical Project Manager will bridge technical and non-technical teams, resolve challenges, and implement process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead existing scrum or project teams, providing agile process guidance and support.
- Educate team members on agile methodologies and best practices.
- Utilize JIRA for project tracking, reporting, and team support.
- Assist in launching new scrum or project teams as needed.
- Gather requirements from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope, creating detailed technical specifications.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, keeping leadership informed of key issues that could affect timelines, budgets, or outcomes.
- Conduct retrospective assessments to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a strong background in technology.
- Proven ability to manage projects of moderate complexity independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to determine and adjust courses of action as needed.
- Experience building productive working relationships to resolve challenges collaboratively.
