the role
the senior demand analytics & ai enablement analyst is a planner-facing role within the north america demand planning organization. This position focuses on standardizing demand analytics, improving forecast diagnostics, and enabling demand planners through advanced analytics and ai-powered tools, including microsoft copilot and other llm-based solutions.
this role does not own the demand forecast. Instead, it acts as a force multiplier for demand planners by creating repeatable, trusted analytical frameworks, standard reports, and ai-enabled insights that improve forecast accuracy and support s&op decision making.
key responsibilities
demand analytics & forecast diagnostics
• develop standardized analytics to evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, volatility, and error drivers
• perform root cause analysis of forecast error across sku, brand, channel, and customer levels
• create pareto-based views identifying key drivers of forecast error
• analyze demand, shipment, and pos relationships to surface risks and misalignment
ai & copilot enablement
• design and maintain ai-assisted analytical workflows to support demand planners
• build and manage a library of approved copilot prompts and analytics use cases
• embed ai-generated insights into excel, power bi, and planning workflows
• ensure outputs are explainable, consistent, and trusted
standard reporting & insight generation
• own development of standard demand planning reports and narratives
• translate complex analysis into executive-ready insights
• enable exception-based management through automated diagnostics
collaboration & enablement
• partner closely with demand planners to eliminate manual analysis
• collaborate with supply planning, commercial, and finance teams
• train planners on interpretation and use of standardized analytics
qualifications
• 3+ years experience in demand planning, forecasting, or demand analytics
• experience in cpg or high-sku environments
• strong analytical and excel skills
• experience with planning systems such as blue yonder, sap, or similar
• strong communication skills and business acumen
• proficient english (written and verbal)
desirable
• experience with power bi or similar visualization tools
• exposure to pos data and customer-level demand analytics
• experience using ai‑enabled tools (e.g., microsoft copilot, chatgpt, or similar) to support analytics, insight generation, or reporting; familiarity with best practices for asking structured questions of data is a plus
• beauty or consumer discretionary industry experience
