as a patrol officer with allied universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all.
your visible presence and routine patrols will support a positive experience for visitors and staff, while you provide outstanding customer service and communication.

*what you'll do*:
- use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
*responsibilities*:
- provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail environment.
- support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with customers and staff as needed.
- maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by allied universal and site management.

*minimum requirements*:
- a valid driver's license is required in accordance with allied universal driver policy requirements.

- customer service experience is preferred.
- be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- a valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
