we're looking for a demand data modeler to join our global team. This role is ideal for someone with strong statistical modeling skills and experience in forecasting.
what you'll do:
define and continuously improve forecasting models within sap's integrated business planning (ibp) demand module.
identify trends and patterns in historical data to support business decisions.
measure and monitor statistical forecast accuracy metrics to ensure optimal algorithm parameter selection.
evaluate external data sources for extraneous variables with the potential to improve the reliability of analyses.
develop and implement data cleaning and transformation techniques to ensure continuous data quality, accuracy, and consistency, including methods for segmentation, imputation, and outlier correction.
collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and requirements.
create data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, specifically new techniques supported by sap ibp and its community.
minimum qualifications:
bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on time-series forecasting.
advanced english proficiency.
skills:
familiarity with demand planning module from sapi ibp.
exposure to machine learning algorithms focused on time series.
proficiency in data visualization tools ( tableau, power bi or similar).
experience with statistical tools (rstudio, databricks or similar).
strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
excellent communication and collaboration skills.
ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
