Actuarial analysts develop financial projections, cost-benefit analysis, and insurance plan validation using statistical, modeling, and risk management strategies. The position is part of the na faa (north america financial actuarial analysis) team, which provides risk assessment to companies located in the united states. They use analytical and research skills to identify adverse situations a company may face, assess the likelihood, and determine the associated financial value.
Responsibilities

perform technical reviews by developing and reviewing mathematical models and actuarial analyses (e.g., doer / technical reviewer).
Ensure service reliability in accordance with quality standards, serving as a peer secondary technical reviewer and reviewing each case concisely.
Demonstrate understanding of the faa service catalogue and knowledge of employee benefit plan design, underwriting/financial concepts, and h&b tools.
Engage with stakeholders assertively and collaborate with international teams.
Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously and deliver exceptional quality service within sla/target date.
Actively and efficiently collaborate on assigned projects and contribute ideas for focused improvements.
Innovate and apply creativity to achieve goals.

Qualifications

analytical and mathematical skills; ability to synthesize information and deliver results.
Intermediate excel (database management).
Time management and english language proficiency (b2 business).
Degree in finance, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field aligned with the job description.
Experience in insurance or financial industry (4+ years).

Compliance assurance manager role
this role contributes to our global standardized compliance assurance approach, aligned with our risk management framework. It delivers end-to-end assurance work over regulatory compliance and financial crime risks as a subject matter expert.
Key activities

customize and localize test scripts, evaluate controls for design and operating effectiveness, and raise issues as necessary.
Ensure control assessments are accurate, effective, and meet quality control requirements.
Document distinct control types, covering remit, main processes, and handovers to other teams.
Support issue owners in root cause analysis and ensure appropriate remediation plans.

Required skills and qualifications

3–5 years of experience in risk or control roles within any of the three lines of defense (e.g., product control, finance, regulatory compliance, internal audit).
Business proficiency in english.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, economics, banking, business, or similar, focused on capital markets and investment management.
Desirable sql understanding; strong knowledge of database management.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; ability to propose innovative solutions.
Strong documentation and project coordination skills.

Regulatory compliance – mexico
job description: our ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurately completing regulatory filings for sa and sofom entities in compliance with mexican financial regulations. The role involves drafting and maintaining compliance manuals, internal policies, and employee training materials aligned with mexico’s regulatory framework. The candidate will provide regulatory advisory to business units and monitor regulatory changes and their impact on operations.
Requirements

bachelor’s degree in law or related field;
minimum 3 years of compliance experience in the financial sector;
prior experience as a compliance officer in a sofom entity;
in-depth knowledge of mexican financial regulations, including aml laws under cnbv;
cnbv-recognized aml certification (e.g., certificación en cumplimiento normativo financiero);
fluent in english (spoken and written); working proficiency in spanish for regulatory and legal communication.
