Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for the mexico operation, ensuring business continuity under a long lead-time sourcing model (3+ months).this role plays a critical part in redesigning the demand planning process, improving forecast accuracy, and optimizing inventory levels.additionally, the position oversees logistics, imports, and warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with mexican regulations and alignment with japanese quality standards.key responsibilitiesdemand planning & s&op (high priority)- redesign the demand planning process using statistical models and cross-functional collaboration with sales - lead the monthly s&op cycle, ensuring supply plans cover long lead times without generating excess or obsolete inventory - analyze historical demand deviations to optimize reorder parameterslogistics & imports- oversee the end-to-end flow of materials from origin (japan/asia) to the mexico warehouse - ensure full compliance with mexican customs and import regulationsleadership & team development- manage and develop a team of 7 direct reports (coordinators and analysts) - define and track kpis across planning, traffic, and logistics functions - foster a culture of continuous improvement and root cause problem solvingkey stakeholders- supply chain director - demand planning - customer service - sales & marketing - finance - regulatory / compliance - import – exportexternal- 3pl partners (operations and leadership teams) - carriers / transportation providers - key customers - auditors and regulatory authoritieseducation & experience- bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or related field - 10+ years of experience in supply chain management - 5+ years in leadership rolespreferred- master's degree (mba or related) - experience in multinational companiestechnical skills & expertise- strong experience in demand planning and forecast accuracy improvement - international logistics and import management - kpi implementation and continuous improvement - advanced erp knowledge (sap, oracle, or similar) - forecasting tools (apo, ibp, or equivalent) - knowledge of mexican foreign trade regulations - lean / kaizen methodologies applied to supply chain
