*position summary*:
*key responsibilities*:
- oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll processing for multiple plant locations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- lead, mentor, and develop a team of three direct reports, delegating tasks and managing their performance.
- ensure accurate calculations and withholdings for social security (imss), housing fund (infonavit), personal income tax (isr), and other legal requirements.
- prepare and deliver precise end-of-month, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for management and finance departments.
- manage annual processes, including the calculation of the christmas bonus (_aguinaldo_), profit sharing (_ptu_), and annual tax declarations.
- act as the main point of contact for complex payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies, providing clear and effective resolutions.
- collaborate closely with human resources and finance departments to ensure data consistency and alignment on compensation, benefits, and new hires.
- stay current with changes in mexican labor law and tax legislation to ensure continuous compliance.
*requirements*:
*education & experience*:
- * bachelor's degree* in accounting, finance, business administration, or a similar field is required.
- * minimum of 4+ years* of progressive experience in a payroll position, with demonstrated experience in a similar coordination or leadership role.
- proven experience managing payroll for a multi-site manufacturing or automotive company is highly preferred.
- direct experience managing and supervising a team (3 people).
- * essential proficiency and hands-on experience with the sap payroll module (sap hcm).
