The ap associate - fifa is a hands-on finance position responsible for accounting activities within this on location division.
*overall responsibility*:
this role will be responsible for the supporting the end-to-end accounts payable process for the fifa entities within on location. The ap associate will perform varied accounting, analysis, reporting, and operational activities. The individual should demonstrate flexibility and agility in adapting to changing circumstances and priorities, as required.
*key areas of responsibility*:
- process invoices and payments accurately and timely
- maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve any billing discrepancies
- monitor vendor onboarding and maintenance
- ensure that payments made outside of the financial system are recorded
- communicate information regarding future payments to support cash forecasting
- escalate overdue payments to management
- prepare monthly expense reports to review for accuracy along with other ad hoc report generation and analysis
- help with ap related month-end closing procedures
- assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed
*qualifications*:
- bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience
- experience working with multinational companies and foreign currency
- netsuite experience preferred

- understanding of us gaap and expense recognition
- strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- proficient in microsoft excel
- adept at using a supplier portal, a sophisticated erp, and a banking portal as integral parts of the end-to-end ap process
