*duties and responsibilities*:
- ensure the consistent and adequate supply of product necessary for the business, based on lead times and sales forecasts.
- correspond and communicate with suppliers for any updates regarding orders and/or products.
- collaborate with engineering to ensure product meets specifications and quality standards.
- develop and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers and partners.
- lead weekly production meeting to review all incoming shipments and product needs.
- monitor and maintain acceptable inventory business wide.
- coordinates and manages physical cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
- collaborate with operations and sales teams to research and identify inventory discrepancies, in a timely manner.
- thorough understanding of purchasing, warehousing, and inventory control
- ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into sap system.
- ability to work effectively with others and be participative as a team player.
- must have excellent attention to detail.
- must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*education and experience*:
- bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, industrial engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, inventory control, or a related field.
- automotive/metal mechanic industry experience preferred.
- sap experience.
