about the role
we are a fast-growing b2b pet treats company supplying retailers, distributors, and private-label partners. We are seeking an inventory control & demand planning manager to own demand forecasting, inventory accuracy, and supply planning across finished goods and raw materials.
this role sits at the intersection of sales forecasts, production planning, and inventory management, ensuring the right products are available at the right time while minimizing excess inventory, stock-outs, and waste.
responsibilities demand planning & forecasting
* build and maintain rolling demand forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
* analyze historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and customer demand
* partner with sales, operations, and finance to align forecasts
* monitor and improve forecast accuracy
inventory control
* manage inventory levels for finished goods, raw materials, and wip
* establish reorder points, safety stock, and min/max levels
* track inventory turns, aging inventory, and obsolescence
* lead cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
supply & production planning
* translate forecasts into production and procurement plans
* coordinate with manufacturers, co-packers, and suppliers
* manage lead times and mitigate supply risks
* prevent shortages and overproduction
systems, reporting & process improvement
* create dashboards and reports on inventory and demand kpis
* improve planning and inventory processes through sops and automation
qualifications
* 3–6+ years in inventory control, demand planning, or supply chain roles
* experience in cpg, food, pet, or perishable goods preferred
* advanced excel or google sheets skills
* experience with netsuite and inventory systems
* strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills
* english c1 or above
nice to have
* knowledge of shelf life, fifo/fefo, and lot tracking
* experience scaling inventory systems in growing companies
