*project manager*
magmalabs is seeking an eager-to-learn project manager (pm) to join our engineering team. A pm plays a key role in supporting project management activities and the team. This is an ideal role for someone who is proactive, possesses a foundational understanding of programming, and is enthusiastic about learning the ins and outs of project management. The pm will work closely with a delivery manager, taking part in the journey towards the project’s success, and actively manage client expectations alongside the engineering, qa team and design team.

*what success looks like*
a successful pm is able to assist in maintaining the project board and running the project on a daily basis. Pms are integral in ensuring the project remains on time, on budget, and free of impediments. You will work in an environment that values agile and scrum frameworks, where you’ll work closely with the team and clients to ensure business goals are translated into the project and the committed work is delivered successfully.
*what would you be doing?*
- supporting in managing the project: assisting in creating well-defined tickets, planning dev work, attending scrum meetings, and assisting in managing the project board.
- participating in business analysis tasks to ensure requirements are translated into tickets and are correctly understood by the team.
- assisting in client communication, especially with the product owner.
- promoting teamwork among all stakeholders and operative departments (engineering, design, and qa).
- supporting in monitoring project progress, contributing to weekly update reports to be shared with stakeholders.
- ensuring code reviews and qa processes are adhered to and contributing to use-case scenarios for testing.
- supporting in managing client expectations and negotiating agreements.

- eagerness to learn and grow in a project management role.
- excellent written and spoken english. (at least b2 level)
- proactive and a team player.
- comfortable with receiving coaching and feedback.
- prior experience in programming or software development is a plus.
