how will you make an impact in this role?
* the primary responsibility of this role is the collection of overdue balances on canceled accounts.
* the candidate should possess negotiation skills and decision-making abilities to maximize collections and mitigate losses for american express.
* the position includes handling inbound and outbound calls, contacting account owners to inform them of their account status, consequences of non-payment, and offering negotiation tools to settle debts or reduce overdue days.
* the person should be independent yet able to work as part of a team within a contact center environment.
* the schedule is monday to friday, from 9 am to 6 pm, in a hybrid mode.
minimum requirements:
* experience in credit or collections.
* negotiation skills.
* ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* analytical skills and financial knowledge.
* excellent oral and written communication skills.
* adaptability to changing environments.
* proficiency in ms office and web environments.
* high attention to detail, with adherence to american express practices and procedures.
* experience with risk processes, especially related to overdue collections.
* experience in 'skip tracing'.
* intermediate/advanced english skills are desirable but not mandatory.
