Embedded linux field engineering manager
this role involves overseeing a team of field engineers in presales and professional services activities. The manager will assist customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
the ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of skills, including knowledge of linux, proficiency in coding and scripting, experience with low-level linux boot, bios, firmware, and embedded software development methodologies.
responsibilities include leading and developing a team of field engineers, resolving customer problems by promoting technologies and serving as a trusted advisor, working remotely in a single major time zone, mentoring and coaching team members, identifying and measuring team health indicators, implementing disciplined engineering processes, representing the team to stakeholders and customers, and planning and managing progress on agreed goals and projects.
