- this role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing supply chain processes, and contributing to the overall success and growth across a large business group or region(s). The role supervises and leads a team of operations professionals (managers and senior individual contributors) providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. The role plays a critical role in shaping the company's supply chain strategy, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring smooth operations.
*responsibilities*
- leads a team of managers and senior individual contributors for business operations function by setting overall program objectives and ensuring timely and effective execution.
- manages planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of the company's demand/supply management and business process initiatives across a large business group or region(s).
- actively partners with internal and external stakeholders and/or suppliers on a regular basis, and manages 3rd party relationships.
- drives multi-year strategies and initiatives at the regional/global/business group level by exercising governance oversight in one or more areas (e.g., key policy decisions, resolution of high impact issues, and new product introduction).
- monitors, diagnoses, and drives resolution for any operational issues.
- identifies opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes across a large business group or region(s), thereby increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
- directs the creation of reports and analysis to inform business plans and gauge performance against set goals.
- manages the allocation of resources, including personnel, budgets, and equipment, to ensure optimal operational performance.
- holds responsibility for talent management and succession planning, ensuring that the appropriate tools and processes are in place to support the team.
*education & experience* recommended*
- four-year or graduate degree in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, operations management, business administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.
