Asset reliability leader
the asset reliability leader will oversee the planning, coordination, and direction of engineering and maintenance functions at a plant. They are responsible for ensuring asset reliability, executing capital projects, and supervising specialized technical services.

key responsibilities
1. plan, coordinate, and lead the operation of the engineering and maintenance area to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of plant assets.
2. recruit, lead, develop, motivate, and evaluate technical staff, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and professional growth.
3. design and implement preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance systems aligned with tpm and rcm principles.
4. lead the implementation of tpm pillars, including autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, focused improvement, and development of technical skills in operations teams.
5. evaluate and execute engineering projects to improve infrastructure, layout, energy efficiency, industrial safety, automation, and process digitalization.
6. manage the planning, execution, and closure of capital expenditure (capex) projects using project management methodologies (pmbok, agile, or others).
7. ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, environmental, and quality standards and procedures in the area.
8. establish and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) such as mtbf, mttr, oee, asset availability, cost per unit, and technical backlog.
9. coordinate root cause analysis (rca) of critical failures and lead the implementation of robust action plans.
10. oversee the efficient use of computerized maintenance management systems (cmms), ensuring data integrity and traceability of actions.
11. monitor the condition of critical equipment through inspections, vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance techniques.
12. ensure the proper execution of scheduled maintenance during shutdown windows without impacting operations.
13. lead the technical review and approval process for contracts with specialized maintenance and technical service providers.
14. actively participate in operational excellence systems, promoting continuous improvement, loss reduction, and process standardization initiatives.
15. manage the execution of global engineering, energy, reliability, and sustainability initiatives driven by the corporation.
16. ensure the availability of critical parts and spare components, strategically managing technical inventory and turnover.
17. ensure the implementation and compliance of the business continuity plan (bcp) in the area, including crisis response protocols.
18. represent the area in internal and external audits, leading the resolution of findings and improvement opportunities.
19. establish technical standards and maintenance procedures aligned with industry best practices and company policies.
20. manage technical training processes, competency certification, and knowledge transfer within the team.
the successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and engineering with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
* minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in industrial plant environments.
* solid knowledge of tpm, rcm, cbm, lean manufacturing, six sigma, and project management.
* proficiency in maintenance management tools (cmms, sap pm, etc.).
* strong analytical, leadership, and execution capabilities.
* advanced english proficiency.
