the senior buyer is responsible for the acquisition of supplies for the company in order to exceed the expectations of our customers. Get savings by improving prices, changing suppliers, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers. With his/her experience can improve the delivery time of the products as well as a reduction in material inventory. He/she is conducted in accordance with eaton's philosophy, leadership model, and code of ethics.

- responsible for executing purchases of raw materials or other items necessary to support production, placing purchase orders for them using suppliers identified for each item or going through the supplier selection process (comparing price, quality, and delivery) in case if there is no identified supplier, evaluating if quantities to be purchased are adequate for current demand.
- responsible for ensuring that price variations are kept to a minimum by negotiating with current suppliers or obtaining new suppliers to maintain current material costs.
- responsible for daily maintenance of purchase orders and fulfillment of supplier deliveries (quality and delivery time), by monitoring and implementing programs with suppliers if necessary.
- responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing ideas for inventory maintenance and reduction through different programs development, such as: jit, consignment material, vmi, kan-ban, etc.
- follow up and compliance with established metrics is met based on ongoing purchasing activities, these tasks are reflected in the results of the metrics and goals defined for the position.
- active participation in cost reduction and resource optimization projects.

- bachelor’s degree in international trade, industrial engineering or similar
- apics training/certification (desirable)
- years and area of experience required: _
- 8 years of experience in supply chain, minimum 5 years related to raw material for maquiladora industry
- technical knowledge:_
- english: full coverage, written and spoken.
- knowledge of sap or similar erp system.
- knowledge and experience in executing metrics related to supply chain.
