as a mechanical design engineer you will be responsible for:
in this role you will be responsible for:
- creating drill bit design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-d modelling and data management systems
- interfacing with product line management, operations, manufacturing, and technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency
- documenting and sharing lessons learned, with cross functional groups
- supporting manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution
- conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, and applicable processes for hse, quality, legal compliance and cultural pillars

to be successful in this role you will:
- have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college
- 1-3 years of experience
- have experience with 3d cad systems
- awareness of finite element analysis (fea) and computational fluid dynamic (cfd) principles
- be able to select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations
- be familiar with mechanical component designs and applied methods
- drive consistent usage of product design standards (and support updates)
- fluent in english, for both oral and written
