about the role of pbx (telephone operator):
to professionally and efficiently handle incoming calls, assist guests with reservations, provide accurate information about the resort’s services and availability, and support the reservations team to ensure smooth, high-quality guest service.
what you will do:
* answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, following resort etiquette.
* handle reservation inquiries, providing information on room types, rates, availability, packages, and promotions.
* transfer calls to appropriate departments or personnel.
* input and update reservations in the system.
* respond to guest questions regarding resort services, amenities, and policies.
* assist with reservation confirmations, modifications, or cancellations.
* follow up on guest requests or unresolved inquiries.
* ensure all communication is clear, professional, and guest-oriented.
* maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure data accuracy.
* collaborate with reservations and front desk teams during peak hours.
what you bring:
* education: high school diploma or equivalent (preferred: degree in tourism, hospitality, or related fields).
* experience: at least 6 months in a similar role, preferably in hospitality.
* languages: fluent in english and spanish (additional languages are a plus).
* skills: excellent verbal communication, active listening, customer service, multitasking, and computer skills.
* knowledge: familiarity with reservation software (pms systems like opera, protel, or similar) is advantageous.
