the quality director is accountable for the full scope of quality across our client's north american operations, a leading automotive interiors supplier. The role spans quality assurance, quality planning, customer quality, and regional hse oversight, leading a multi-site quality team and executing the global quality strategy at regional level
.
key responsibility
* define and own the regional quality strategy, ensuring alignment with global standards and customer-specific requirements
* build and sustain a robust quality management system across all sites, establishing consistent controls, procedures, and audit routines
* lead, develop, and performance-manage site quality leadership and central quality planning resources
* act as the senior quality interface with customers, owning escalations, audits, and launch quality
* champion continuous improvement and problem-solving disciplines (8d, root cause analysis) to drive benchmark performance in ppm, scrap, and customer scorecards
* oversee hse compliance and audit activity within the region
* manage the regional quality budget and resource planning
education
* bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
experience
* 10+ years in progressive quality leadership roles within automotive manufacturing, including multi-site responsibility
* strong background in automotive interiors/trim manufacturing; hands-on knowledge of soft trim processes preferred
* demonstrated success leading and developing quality teams across multiple plants
* strong track record managing oem customer relationships, audits, and escalations
* working knowledge of core quality tools: apqp, ppap, fmea, spc, msa
