Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process from start to finish, ensuring timely compliance with deliveries and managing imports if required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive purchase order requirements and generate purchase orders to different suppliers, local and foreign.
- Coordinate deliveries with factories on time and in accordance with negotiations.
- Ensure continuous supply of required materials and communicate any supply problems, which may affect the operations.
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, and delivery or invoice issues.
- Deliver updates and reports when required
- Update supplier databases according to their level of compliance.
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
- Participate in quality audits of suppliers.
- Support in the development and search of new suppliers.
- Management of imports of materials, equipment, and accessories.
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain and/or manufacturing.
- Candidates must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization and externally.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Basic knowledge of contracts and clauses is a plus.
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer software and numerical skills are necessary.
