*role description*
as a data analyst for the base22 operations group, you will work closely with management to understand the organization's processes and define kpis and the data, reports, and insights required to monitor these kpis. You will analyze the data to identify trends and deviations. You will constantly research new ways to use available data to solve problems, answer questions and make decisions. You will also interact with different teams to identify if additional data has to be gathered or if current data needs to be gathered in a different way.
*responsibilities and duties*
- understand the organizations and our client’s processes to assess the data that is being gathered.
- create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for the company’s data.
- connect to external sources to design and create more robust reports and dashboards.
- analyze data to remove corrupt data, identify gaps and support the teams in making the changes to gather the correct data.
- use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
- assign a numerical value to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
- work with developers, business analysts, and management leads to identify process improvement opportunities and propose system modifications.
- supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
- setting up data infrastructure
- developing, implementing, and maintaining databases required for the reports and dashboards.
- creating and leading presentations to management and other teams to share findings, insights, and conclusions from data.
- training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
*required skills*:
- proven working experience in data analysis
- experience using reporting & data visualization tools such as business objects, powerbi and tableau.
- strong mathematical & numeracy skills.
- experience in cleansing and preparing data.
- understanding of website scripts such as xml, javascript, json.
- intermediate understanding of databases such as sql server, oracle and sap.
- experience combining data from multiple sources.
- experience setting up data structures, databases and environments required to combine data from multiple sources.
- experience with digital marketing analytics tools including google 360, google analytics, google tag manager is a plus.
- strong attention to detail.
