general overview:
ensure the fulfillment of goals established in safety, quality, and production.
main responsibilities:
* prioritize the safety of the personnel under your charge.
* report unsafe conditions and participate in their correction.
* encourage staff to avoid unsafe acts.
* meet established quality goals (zero rejections, zero customer complaints).
* arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled shift change for communication and follow-up on previous shift pending issues.
* start the line on time.
* fulfill the daily roll assigned by the supervisor (material preparation, register personnel in protrack, start-up the shift on time).
* monitor and resolve daily line issues (line downs = 0, c-holds, reworks = 0, scale downs, line clearing, etc.).
* be available to support after your shift if pending issues were not resolved during your shift.
* implement "first in, first out (fifo)" procedures.
* follow up on previous shift orders.
* keep personnel logged into protrack and make necessary changes to each work order.
* adhere to established times for each operation (palletizing, component placement, sealing).
* follow established methods (use of tray for first sample, use of spacer for start-end, use of cones, etc.).
* maintain a continuous processing line.
* contribute to team work.
* always communicate respectfully with colleagues (values).
* create a positive work environment.
* follow company regulations and policies.
required knowledge:
* at least 1 year of experience in production.
* knowledge of quality criteria.
* personnel management skills.
* software skills: office suite (word, excel, powerpoint, etc.).
* knowledge of as400.
* english proficiency at 80%.
