Role overview
the senior manager - cash office operations is accountable for the end-to-end design, implementation, stabilization, and scaling of the centralized cash office operating model for walmart mexico. This role provides strategic leadership, governance, and risk oversight, ensuring alignment with accounting standards, internal controls, and transformation objectives while enabling significant productivity and savings through standardization and automation.
key responsibilities
• lead the design and rollout of the cash office centralized operating model, from pilot through mass deployment.
• own governance, controls, and risk management for centralized cash reconciliation and policy close activities.
• partner with operations, controllership, treasury, technology, and external providers to ensure seamless execution.
• oversee sla, kpi, and productivity management, ensuring service stability and performance excellence.
• drive automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives across cash and reconciliation processes.
• provide executive-level escalation management and decision-making support during hypercare and steady state.
• ensure compliance with sox, internal controls, and walmart accounting and ethics standards.
• develop leadership capability within the management and analyst layers.
minimum qualifications
• bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in record to report, cash operations, shared services, or finance transformation.
• strong experience leading large operational teams and complex transformations.
• advanced english proficiency.
preferred qualifications
• master’s degree or professional certification (cpa, cma, pmp, lean six sigma).
• experience in large-scale centralization or automation programs.
