about the role:
* as a facilities manager at cbre, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of buildings for facilities, campuses, or portfolios of small and medium-sized buildings (hard & soft services).
what you'll do:
* support the selection and hiring processes for new team members.
* schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and train staff.
* coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance, collaborating with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
* prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
* conduct quality control inspections of facilities in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational improvements, repairs, and opportunities for improvement.
* oversee vendor relationships and billing procedures. Review quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Provide training on maintenance processes and procedures, repairs, and safety best practices. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and others.
what you need:
* engineering, architecture, or a related field.
* minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management.
* intermediate english.
* excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* strong leadership and team management skills.
* good communication skills, knowledge of finance and safety.
