Your role and responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats that inform key business decisions across a diverse range of energy industries including power, oil and gas, chemicals, water, pharmaceuticals, and others. You will also use strategic thinking to support PAEN AMC region in their Strategy & Sales initiatives. This role will also include providing targeted support for specific countries, with a focus on the United States and Canada.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries in Mexico City.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, customer strategies, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities.
- Develop proficiency in utilizing various data sources, including market reports, databases, surveys, business intelligence platforms and other relevant resources
- Consolidates annual reports of targeted customers and competitors that can be utilized by Local Sales team
- Collaborate with local sales organizations to advise on prioritization of sales efforts in accordance with Local country growth strategies
- Support countries with specific data needs as they arise through the strategic recommendation discussions.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans, business development, and marketing campaigns by offering data-backed insights.
- Gather and analyze market data, industry trends, and customer and competitor intelligence to identify market opportunities and potential risks.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Fluent (written and spoken) in English
- Proven experience (5+ years) in support sales, market research and development, competitive analysis, or related roles in Energy and Automation companies. Experience in technical sales or project-based commercial roles
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Excel and other relevant software, with hands-on experience of building complex models
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and generate actionable insights for Sales & Marketing teams
- Knowledge of market research methodologies, data collection techniques, CRM and data visualization tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI) is a plus
